Assistant Professor in U.S. Latino/a Literary and Cultural Studies 
The Department of Spanish and Portuguese of Temple University is pleased to invite applications for a tenure-track, Assistant Professorship in U.S. Latino/a/Latinx Literary and Cultural Studies. Background working with heritage learners of Spanish is preferred. Candidates with sub-specializations or teaching experience in one or more of the following fields are desirable: visual/performance/other arts, gender/sexuality, race/ethnicity/subaltern studies, translation/interpretation, critical theory, or Caribbean diaspora/literature. Interest in contributing to interdisciplinary programs on campus such as Latin American Studies, or Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies is an asset. Applicants should show evidence of outstanding scholarly potential and commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching. A Ph.D. in hand by August 2018 is required. The candidate selected for this position should have native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English, and must meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin.
